Alcala bows to top Chinese foe

Running into her first foreign foe in the tournament, top Filipina ladies singles player Malvinne Ann Venice Alcala was left completely overwhelmed and joined the country’s lone men’s doubles bet in a march to the exit Friday in the Bingo Bonanza Philippine Grand Prix Gold badminton championships.
