NAME names.Rep. Eduardo Gullas issued this challenge yesterday to critics who said congressmen were given bribes in a hotel in Ortigas Avenue, Metro Manila, the day before the voting for the impeachment complaint against President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was held. There were 42 congressmen who voted to throw out the impeachment complaint while eight congressmen voted that the complaint was sufficient in substance. Gullas, who was one of five Cebu congressmen who voted to dismiss the impeachment complaint, said the bribery allegation was unfair because there was no evidence. "There was no meeting. I have not attended any meeting. That's why I challenged (detractor) to name names so that we will not become all suspects", Gullas said. Gullas said that after weighing all arguments, he was convinced the impeachment complaint was insufficient in substance. Correspondent Jhunnex Napallacan |
