The Beverage Masters drew solid games from former Barako Lordy Tugade, Cebuano Dondon Hontiveros, veteran Olsen Racela and import Jamel Watkins, who combined for 74 points to help their squad get back on track after absorbing a 101-108 loss to the Dragons last April 30. Tugade wound up with 22 points and nine rebounds, Hontiveros cashed in 19 points and nine assists, Racela finished with 16 points on seven-for-10 shooting from the field, while Watkins came away with 17 markers. It was Magnolia's fourth win in five games, hiking up its overall record to 4-3 (win-loss). Red Bull, on the hand, saw its three-game win run come to an end and dropped to 5-2. But the Barakos remained on top of the standings along with the Coca-Cola Tigers. Cyrus Baguio paced the Barakos with 22 points, while seven-foot import Adam Parada contributed 20.
