SM Supermalls partnered with the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) in its campaign for safe drinking water.

The event was held at the IMAX Theater lobby at SM Mall of Asia where SM and Unicef formally launched its joint project called “WASH,” an acronym for water, sanitation and hygiene.

The program focuses on water and sanitation service delivery in schools, villages, including emergency intervention to benefit children from all over the country.

SM Prime Holdings, Inc. designated Unicef as the beneficiary for the donations it generated from the selling of SM distilled drinking water.

For every bottle sold, SM will give a portion of the sale to Unicef to help the children in Masbate have access to safe drinking water.
