Tubil Bar was crowned champion in the 2008 Power Ball Invitational basketball tournament after beating Medallon Transport, 66-47, in their championship game at the CEC gym.Franco Te fired 16 points to lead the champion squad, which waxed hot in the third period to seal the win. Tubil Bar started low and stared at an early 15-21 deficit. Tubil Bar then went on to work in the second quarter and took a 33-26 lead at the bend. It was all Tubil Bar in the second half as it even built a huge 66-44 lead in the closing moments of the game. Te was backed by Jarren Magdales, who finished with 10 points. Norwin Baclay paced Medallon Transport with 13 markers. In the other game, 100 Plus crushed Yes Marketing, 93-68, to bag the third place crown. BOX SCORES:
