2 motorcycle riders dead in Cavite accident Maricar Cinco Inquirer Southern Luzon

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines—Two persons were killed, while one remained in critical condition after the motorcycle the three of them were riding slammed into the left front bumper of a tourist bus early Thursday in Bacoor Cavite, police said.
Jeyhronne Greg Perez, 14, and his cousin Lea Patricia, 18, died while the driver, Jimboy Aguila, 22, was still in critical condition at the St. Dominic Hospital the town, Senior Superintendent Alfred Corpus, Cavite police director said in a text message.
He said the accident took place at around 5:45 a.m. along the Tirona Highway in Barangay Habay 1.
According to Police Officer 1 Paul Santoeli, case investigator, the three tried to overtake a jeepney, but was sideswiped by the bus traveling in the opposite lane.
Santoeli said the three were members of the Iglesia ni Cristo and were on their way to the church when the accident happened.
The bus driver identified as Cesar Guadalupe remains in the custody of the Bacoor police.
