1 dead, 2 hurt as motorbike slams into jeep Maricar Cinco Inquirer Southern Luzon

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – A motorcycle driver died instantly while his two passengers were injured after their vehicle slammed into a passenger jeepney before dawn on Tuesday, in Los Baños, Laguna, police said Wednesday.
The victim identified as Carlo Mendoza, 22, was declared dead on arrival at the Los Baños Doctors' Hospital.
Superintendent Chito Bersaluna, Los Baños police chief, said Mendoza with his companions Triny Grace Librera and Grace Recio, were cruising on the national highway in the village of San Antonio at around 2:40 a.m. when they slammed into a jeepney, which was at the time backing from a parking lot.
Librera and Recio were injured.
Police identified the jeepney driver as Guillermo Cruzat who was detained at the municipal police station.
