‘Santi’ floods parts of Metro Manila—NDCC Katherine Evangelista INQUIRER.net

MANILA, Philippines – Parts of Metro Manila were flooded due to the rains brought by typhoon Santi (international codename: Mirinae), the National Disaster Coordinating Council said Saturday.
Residents in Barangay (village) 183, 184, 185, and 201 in Pasay City, where the floodwaters are knee-deep to waist-deep, were evacuated, the NDCC said.
Parts of M. Naval St., Barangay San Jose in Navotas are in two feet of floodwaters while the streets of San Perfecto, Balong Bato, and Progreso Batis are under knee-deep floods, the NDCC said.
In the city of Manila, the Streets of San Roque, San Lorenzo, Sta. Clara, San Martin, Sta. Ana and San Isidro in Barangay 595 are also flooded, the NDCC said.
Meanwhile, 256 families or 1,086 persons were evacuated from Barangay San Lorenzo and Sta. Elena in Camarines Norte due to flooding, the NDCC said.
Only one lane of the Maharlika Highway between Labo and Daet Camarines Norte is passable as clearing operations are being conducted after fallen trees blocked the road, the NDCC said.
