LBC Pamaskong Regalo 2007 awards over $50k in cash prizes

February 11, 2008

South San Francisco, February 8, 2008 - “I believe God answered my prayers. I love LBC and the people who work in your company. God bless you” wrote Lorna Asturias of Faifield, California, one of the winners of LBC’s Pamaskong Regalo 2007. She is just one of the 250 lucky LBC customers who won over $50,000 worth of cash prizes through the company’s annual Christmas raffle. Along with nine other weekly winners, Ms. Asturias won the top weekly prize of $2,000 on the ninth week of the raffle based on an ATM Bilis Padala transaction she made at the Fairfield branch of LBC.

The ATM Bilis Padala is one of LBC’s products that allows recipients in the Philippines to withdraw the money sent by their loved ones in the U.S. from any of the 4,000 ATMs nationwide within 15 seconds of the transaction.

In addition to the 10 winners of the $2,000 cash prize, 20 LBC customers won $1,000 each and an additional 20 won $500 each.

200 other lucky customers also won sea cargo gift certificates and LBC 60-minute phone cards.

Winners for LBC’s Christmas raffle last year were from all over the United States. Among the cash prize winners were customers from Saipan, Hawaii, New Jersey, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington State.

Over a thousand dollars worth of products and services were also given away during last December’s raffle, which was dubbed as “LBC’s Pamaskong Regalo 2007”.

Hugo Bonilla, LBC Mabuhay USA’s president and CEO, explained that the annual raffle is the company’s way of thanking its loyal customers.

“We have always been a significant part of the Filipino immigrant’s life here in the U.S. When they send money and gifts to their loved ones in the Philippines, they trust that LBC will get it there. Through this annual Christmas raffle, we hope to give them the message that their trust is very important to us and that we are grateful they chose LBC for their cargo and money remittance needs,” said Mr. Bonilla.

Last December’s raffle draw was just the most recent of LBC’s many raffle promotions. In the past years, the firm has given away house and lots and condominiums in the Philippines, brand new cars, electronics and thousands of dollars in cash.

For LBC’s Christmas 2005 raffle, one lucky winner won $20,000.

For her part, Patricia Garcia, marketing director for LBC Mabuhay USA, added that LBC hopes to add cheer to the Christmas season of the company’s customers and their families.

“Our customers entrust us with their hard-earned money and the gifts they send home. This annual raffle is our way of helping them give a better Christmas for their families back home,” Garcia explained.
