What is it like to be in a trance?

June 30, 2009

A READER who signed herself “Cheryll” confuses “trance” with “nightmare,” which is a different thing.

Trance is a state of hypnosis. One can be conscious and be in a state of trance.

A nightmare occurs during sleep and therefore not a state of trance. In a deep trance, one may no longer be conscious of one’s surroundings. It is like being asleep, but the brainwaves of a person in trance are different from those when he is asleep. So these are two different states.

Sometimes, a person sleeping may have an out-of-body experience without realizing he is out of his physical body.

He may see the room and his physical surroundings and even his physical body lying on the bed. Many people panic when this happens to them, because they can’t move their physical body. The more they struggle, the more difficult for them to move.

Astral projection or OOBE is a common phenomenon and should be no cause for alarm.
This happens more often to highly sensitive or psychic people, which Cheryll obviously is. She also has some mediumistic tendencies.

Although she said she was not aware of the presence of elementals, I believe there must have been some in her room because she was taken to a different place without her being aware of it.

It is possible some elementals took a liking for her and were probably making love to her. She senses that, although her conscious mind refuses to admit it.

She should have her house cleansed of negative spirits and she herself should have some protection from these elemental creatures.
