MANILA, Philippines – When the song “Don’t Cha” first came out on the charts, people were initially scandalized by the scantily clad girls who weren’t afraid to say, “Don’t cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me?” But after a while, they took to their audacious—and brave!—fashion style. Like their songs, the fashion style of the Pussycat Dolls (or PCD) sometimes takes some getting used to, but one thing is clear: each Doll has a distinct style.
At the press conference held at Siete Pecados at the Sofitel last Tuesday, guests gushed over the clothes the girls wore. Want to dress like the Pussycat Dolls? Here’s a guide to looking like your favorite Doll.
The Pussycat Dolls “Doll Domination” concert tour was presented by Clear, MTV and MCA Music.
Simple and sophisticated: Nicole Scherzinger Dressed in a tight black tank top, tight pants and sky-high heels, Nicole looked glamorous in a subdued way—she didn’t show too much flesh, and her hair was pulled back in a sleek ponytail. Neutral makeup completed the sophistication of her look.
Country Girl: Kimberly Wyatt “Country style” was the theme for Kimberly’s look for the day. She wore a plaid shirt, suspenders, denim shorts and boots, but went for a spiky ’do that prevented her from looking like a rancher. Want the same look? Try wearing a tank top instead of the plaid shirt for a more subtle approach.
Glamorous and trendy: Melody Thornton The clear style favorite during the presscon, Melody’s outfit caught the most attention-thanks to her YSL cage boots. She wore a romper paired with a blazer and accessorized with glittery pins and Grecian-inspired headbands.
L.A. Style: Ashley Roberts Probably the most simply dressed PCD at the presscon, Ashley wore a casual tank top paired with a denim skirt and peek-a-boo shoes. However, she made up for the simplicity of her outfit with her long, wavy hair, which made her look like she came from the beach.
