Anytime now, Myla Cammayo is expecting her second baby. She’s stuck home waiting for the big day but at the same time, she has not yet finished shopping for baby items and for herself. She goes online and checks out a shop that would help her prepare for her new baby.
Expecting parents will now have an easier time to do their maternity shopping through an online portal for baby products called Havin’ A Baby.
Havin’ A Baby, owned by shop operator Big & Small Co, created their portal to enable parents, especially expecting mothers, to do their shopping without leaving their homes, particularly in their pregnant state.
The site currently has about 20 different items ranging from T-shirts, blouses, jeans and trousers, though the list of products will be expanded gradually. Havin’ A Baby mall branches themselves have a much larger variety of products.
Big & Small Co. is a specialized maternity and children’s store made up of four different brands: Big and Small Co., Havin’ A Baby, Orange Juice and Spin. The company already has about 40 branches in Philippines.
Cammayo said she has been a user of Havin’ A Baby for quite a while. One of the positive aspects of the shop is the design of their products.
“They’re very comfortable and they look good to wear,” she said.
While the website already posts the prices of their products, Cammayo said the website could have included specific sizes so that she would be able get the right fit for her.
Still, Cammayo said it would be more helpful to go online and buy the stuff she needs while preparing for childbirth.
To shop through the website, users have to register first. After putting the items they want into the virtual shopping cart, they could pay using PayEasy, a payment system developed by Internet service provider Mosaic Communication.
PayEasy supports BancNet and MegaLink ATM cards, PayPal, Globe G-Cash, Smart Money and major credit cards.
After payment, the items are then delivered to the person’s address within a couple of days.
