A SUSPECT in the death of an upholstery worker last year has been arrested in Taguig City and presented to media Tuesday.
Nicolo Paulo Quizon, 19, whom Senior Superintendent Ireneo Inal of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group said might be a grandson of ace comedy actor “Dolphy [Rodolfo Quizon in real life],” was arrested at the Camp Bagong Diwa Rehabilitation in Bicutan by virtue of a warrant issued by the Quezon City regional trial court.
Quizon allegedly killed Joel Tulabot, 19, on Dec. 19, 2005 while waiting for a ride home in Alcatraz and Banawe Streets in Quezon City, said Inal.
The motive for the killing has not been determined, but parents of the victim, Pepito and Angelina Tulabot, believed that the killing was merely "for fun."
"Parang katuwaan lang iyon. Napakasakit dahil nagtatrabaho ng maayos ang anak ko. Naniniwala akong siya talaga ang may kagagawan [It was like the killing was for fun. It hurts a lot because my son is just working. I believe that he really killed him]," a sobbing Angelina told reporters.
Quizon was brought to the Quezon City RTC after the presentation.
