If only school officials knew and did their part Inquirer

KUDOS to Eugenia Duran Apostol, chair of the Foundation for Worldwide People Power, for her commentary "Role of community in quality education."
I also have some ideas about the quest for quality education in our country.
Under our Constitution, quality education is a primary concern and goal. While I agree with the views of the three former education secretaries, I find more practical the statement of the incumbent education secretary: We should operationalize what we have conceptualized; turn our vision and mission into reality.
In my own experience as a district supervisor, I'd say, if only all school officials, teachers and Department of Education employees, including all other stakeholders, did their part, knew what they are supposed to teach (minimum learning competencies) and how to teach (methodology/strategy of teaching), there would be no reason we cannot improve education in our country.
