Derek Ramsey caught kissing Camille Pratts

November 14, 2006

A GUEST at my beloved “classmate” Deo Endrinal’s birthday bash swears she saw Derek Ramsey and Camille Prats kissing near the ladies’ room of Teatrino. Nope, it was not the typical show biz beso-beso. It seemed like Camille had a few too many and Derek was looking after her. He made sure she got to her car in one piece.

Perhaps it was just a spur-of-moment kiss (Was it the alcohol kissing?). Nothing wrong with that since Derek and Camille are both fancy-free anyway. But what a coincidence that Derek is said to be courting Angelica Panganiban. He even flew to Boracay to follow Angelica who celebrated her birthday there. Angelica and Camille were the best of friends until they had a falling out because of Carlo Aquino. Angelica found out Carlo was courting Camille while they were still on.

Heard that at the party of Deo, the two girls finally patched things up. Hope the kissing incident with Derek won’t spark another intrigue between them. Or will it make Angelica kiss Derek goodbye without even giving him a chance?

Still on Angelica, she says she’d rather keep her birthday wish to herself. “Last year, it was still me and Carlo. I wished that my family would accept him but naudlot yung wish ko kasi pinagkalat ko sa lahat. So now, secret na lang muna yung wish ko.”

This child-woman has wised up. “I already disobeyed my parents when I carried on with my relationship with Carlo against their will. I don’t wanna do that again. I’ll make sure my next BF will be approved by my family.”

Her charm appeals to general patronage but her love life is now under parental guidance.

Anti-climactic

COULD it be true that Pia Guanio requested the higher-ups of GMA not to air stories about Vic Sotto and her in the “Chika Minute” segment of “24 Oras” because it makes her feel uneasy? She may have her reasons but after their “S Files” admission about their romance, any news about them is already anti-climactic. Unless of course the elusive Vic will finally tie the knot. Or will he not?

Speaking of Vic, Angel Locsin told me that Oyo Boy’s mom Dina Bonnevie shared with her stories about how Vic courted her. Angel was so moved that she told Oyo, “You should have courted me that way too!” Oyo replied, “Dapat may originality di ba?”

Seems like Oyo is not out to break his dad’s legendary track record with women. Nor is he going to break Angel’s heart.

Erratum

MY apologies to Kamikaze band. In my previous column, I wrote that Katrina Halili got pissed at one of the band’s members. Mea Culpa! I got the names mixed up. She was referring to the band 6 Cycle Mind. Hope Kamikaze doesn’t mind.

Debt issue

MS. Alice Reyes, founder of Aliw Awards, reacted to my column item about Aliw. What’s wrong about writing that Direk Al Quinn hasn’t been paid for services rendered? She admitted in her letter to PDI that they really owe Direk Al Quinn some money. Regardless of how minimal the debt is, it’s the principle behind it. No need to downplay the whole thing.

She questioned why I didn’t bother to get the side of Araw Foundation. In the first place, I didn’t even know that Aliw awards was produced by Araw. They should have named it Araw awards instead! What a confusing set-up! The mere fact that the Board of Trustees of Aliw Awards Inc. resigned en masse is enough proof that it’s no wonderland for Ms. Alice anymore.

Birthday concert

CONCERT Comedy Queen Ai Ai de las Alas celebrates her birthday at Klownz Araneta via a concert on Nov. 17 aptly titled “Alas.” “Without my mga Alas sa Buhay—my fans, family and kids, I couldn’t have achieved this much,” the 42-year-old birthday girl says.

It’s going to be an anything-goes affair. Joining her are Ruffa Mae Quinto, Erik Santos, Allan K, Wally, Jose and a bevy of gay comedians. She has more than enough “Aces” in her life so she doesn’t really mind if her “King of Hearts” hasn’t shown up. Join Ai laugh all the heartaches away. For tickets, call 9958896 or 9950874.

Horror flick

STAR Cinema and Viva Films unveils tomorrow its most talked-about horror movie “Wag Kang Lilingon” in over 150 theaters. The Kristine Hermosa-Anne Curtis starrer is a sure-fire screamer but not without substance. The two mestizas are all set to beat all “White Ladies” ghost stories combined as they bring 100 percent fear.
