Envious

From “Touchee” (gentletouchee@gmail.com) for Ruben Nepales:

I envy you so much! Imagine your work, meeting the biggest stars in Hollywood, I would give everything to be in your shoes! Wow!

I wrote because I want to ask if there is any Filipino connection that you can dig on the HBO series “Entourage”? I just recently discovered it and I’m hooked!

Wonderful!

From Ana Cristina Costa (anacosta@elvis.com) of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for Ruben Nepales:

I just read your Evangeline Lilly interview and wanted to let you know you did a wonderful job! Your questions were very interesting. Thanks !

Rupert fan

From Joyce Playford of Saskatchewan, Canada, for Ruben Nepales:

First of all, I’m happy for you that you got a chance to view filming in Leavesden and got to meet the cast. That must have been exciting!

Yes, I am another Rupert fan (are you annoyed with us yet?). I’m way too old to be a fan girl; I am an adult who is really drawn to this young man. He seems genuine and real, just your normal bloke ... and that is way more appealing than [someone who needs] to be the center of attention. I really wish him luck in making a future doing what he loves (which I see as character acting, not becoming a superstar).

Anyway, Rupert always gets shunted to the side when compared to media sweethearts Dan and Emma. Not that I dislike those two—they’re great, too; they’re just not cursed with natural reticence. I know it’s a curse because I have that, too.

So I hope that, in your [next stories], you can include a line or two more about Rupert. It’ll keep us fans happy.

I also enjoyed the article on your conversation with Julie Walters. I’ve admired her work for a long time now.

Clarification

From Christine Dayrit, vice chair, Film Development Council of the Philippines:

Thanks for the “Donsol” global deal write-up. To clarify, the Iffcom (International Film Festival Committee) is the recommending body to the FDCP regarding film grants or subsidy, while the FDCP is the agency that gives the grants or subsidy.
