NEXT year, the Association of Former Flight Attendants of Philippine Air Lines (Affap) will celebrate its 10th anniversary.
Its newly-elected officers include Marl Fuentebella-Mendoza; Greta Soriano-Lauron, Tina Jocson, Cecille Samson-Miciano, Carmen Laman-Miciano, Baby Alvir-Sequerra, Remy de las Alas, Marilou Llamas, Rey Mejia, Videlyn Torralba, Jullie Villalon, Susan Gonzales, Kate Lotilla, Ehtel Mejia, Dr. Mylene Santos and this writer.
Networking
Recently, the group visited and delivered a wheelchair to Lelu Magtoto-Betia, wife of former PAL purser, Buddy Betia. It was a warm and jolly reunion. Past Affap president Christy Romero-Altura, who is now based in San Francisco, USA, is responsible for the networking of wheelchairs and walkers, which she sends home for Affap’s needs.
The second visit was to “Aling Ansang’s Original Pancit Malabon.” The place is operated by couple Bob and Glecey Motus-Nassif, also former flight attendants. Bob just had a triple heart bypass operation, and Affap naturally passed the hat. It was a tearful reunion for all of us.
