Exclusive condo living by the sea

September 05, 2006

These days there’s only one place you need to look for Landco Pacific Corp.’s VP for residential resorts Jose Antonio Xerez-Burgos and corporate communications manager Janice Nadew – on the breezy seaside escarpment where their Amara en Terrazas will rise soon.

The view of the South China Sea is spectacular, the air smells of ocean, and the location is blissfully private, well away from crowds and traffic.

“It’s also a pretty cool area that’s out of the way, but you can take the Tagaytay-Nasugbu highway and be in Tagaytay City or the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay national highway and the South Luzon Expressway and get to Metro Manila,” Xeres-Burgos said.

The convenient commute was an important selling point for Xeres-Burgos who said while Amara en Terrazas will be more than just a weekend home, most of their future homeowners may also need to go to Metro Manila for work or attend important meetings.

“Much more, life by the sea is different. One can wake up to watch a dolphin or two surfing the waves and there’s a unique palette of sunsets over the water every day. Your future window and balcony picture changes before your eyes,” Nadew said.

Indeed, the lifestyle to be offered at Amara en Terrazas is unique. Surrounded by pockets of forest reserve and outlined by gentle rolling terrain toward a majestic mountain ridge, this latest Landco development is the only exclusive seaside development in the Philippines. at present

Only 95 units

“There will only be a total of 95 units arranged in a single corridor so that each unit will have a unique and unobstructed views of the pristine waters of the South China Sea, the Terrazas (de Punta Fuego) Cove and nearby communities,” Xerex-Burgos added.

The two explained that the project name Amara is a synthesis of the Spanish word Amor (love) and Mar (sea), as the place will embody the tranquil and soothing ambiance of a resort and access to the expansive world-class recreational amenities and facilities of Club Punta Fuego.

Hence the central design theme of Amara en Terrazas is a fusion of Spanish Mediterranean and Tropical Asian architecture, characterized by seamless integration of man-made and natural environment.

1.6-hectare rolling terrain

“The development is located on 1.6 hectares of rolling terrain that rises up to 75 meters above sea level. There will be two structures: the northwest facing Casa del Mar, with a maximum of seven stories, and southwest facing the three-story Casa de Amor. The development will be organized into clusters bordered by lush tropical landscaping and interconnected by link bridges,” Nadew said.

The price of each unit (two-bedroom, three-bedroom loft and penthouse units) ranges from P8.5 million to P13 million, and will be lavished with features not found in most condominiums. Garden units (139 sq m/two bedrooms), for instance, will be furnished with an outdoor jacuzzi and a roomy veranda while Loft units (173 sq m/three bedrooms) will be designed with a two-story-high ceiling for the living and dining area and an extended balcony.

Model units can be viewed at the Nasugbu site.

Nadew added that Amara En Terrazas will be sold exclusively to Club Punta Fuego members so that share ownership becomes a necessary qualification for buyers.
