Ariel Querubin’s spokesperson and their relationship. The spokesperson’s name is Martin Loon—not Querubin. He is Querubin’s stepson. According to the PCSO spokesperson, Dr. Larry Cedro, de Quiros is no longer a member of the board, having resigned in 2003. The former agriculture undersecretary arrived on Oct. 28—not Oct. 29. The JRMS bus driven by Bernardo Dayco was the one that hit the rear end of the HM bus driven by Joey de Guzman—not the other way around. The same story also misstated the plate numbers of the buses involved. The HM bus carried the plate number DXH-342—not TYK-375, which belonged to the JRMS bus. The tamaraw is a close relative of the carabao—but it is not a cross between a carabao and a deer. Correction in 6th para: The tamaraw, a close relative of the carabao or water buffalo, is one of the world's 204 endemic mammal species. It can only be found on Mindoro island. Mercado’s Viewpoint column in the Opinion section—“Austere laurels”—misspelled the surnames of two Filipino columnists. They are Carmen “Chitang” Nakpil—not Napkil—and the late Apolonio “Pol” Batalla—not Battala. Also misspelled was the name of a cigarette that is popular in Indonesia.
